- Texto do artigo, página 14: • (a) o termo política nacional refere-se à política nacional de segurança e saúde no trabalho e ambiente de trabalho desenvolvida de acordo com os princípios do artigo 4 da Convenção de Segurança e Saúde no trabalho de 1981 (n.º 155); • (b) a expressão sistema nacional de segurança e saúde no trabalho ou sistema nacional refere-se à infra- -estrutura que fornece o quadro principal para a implementação da política nacional e dos programas nacionais de segurança e saúde no trabalho; • (c) o termo programa nacional de segurança e saúde no trabalho ou programa nacional refere-se a qualquer programa nacional que inclua objectivos a serem alcançados num prazo predeterminado, prioridades e meios de acção definidos para melhorar a segurança e saúde no trabalho e meios para avaliar o progresso; e • (d) o termo cultura nacional preventiva de segurança e saúde refere-se a uma cultura na qual o direito a um ambiente de trabalho seguro e saudável é respeitado a todos os níveis, onde governo, empregadores e trabalhadores participam activamente na garantia de um ambiente de trabalho seguro e saudável por meio de um sistema de direitos, responsabilidades e deveres definidos, e onde o princípio da prevenção é considerado como a mais alta prioridade.

Cada Membro que ratificar esta Convenção promoverá a melhoria contínua da segurança e saúde no trabalho para prevenir lesões, doenças e mortes ocupacionais, por meio do desenvolvimento, em consulta com as organizações mais representativas de empregadores e trabalhadores, de uma política nacional, sistema nacional e programas nacionais de segurança e saúde no trabalho, levando em consideração os princípios estabelecidos nos instrumentos da Organização Internacional do Trabalho (OIT) relevantes para o quadro promocional para a segurança e saúde no trabalho. • 3. Cada Membro, em consulta com as organizações mais representativas de empregadores e trabalhadores, deve considerar periodicamente quais medidas podem ser tomadas para ratificar as Convenções relevantes de segurança e saúde no trabalho da OIT.

- Texto do artigo, página 15: • 1. Cada Membro deve promover um ambiente de trabalho seguro e saudável por meio da formulação de uma política nacional. • 2. Cada Membro deve promover, a todos os níveis relevantes, o direito dos trabalhadores a um ambiente de trabalho seguro e saudável. • 3. Ao formular sua política nacional, cada Membro, à luz das condições e práticas nacionais e em consulta com as organizações mais representativas de empregadores e trabalhadores, promoverá princípios básicos como a avaliação de riscos ou perigos ocupacionais; combaterá os riscos ou perigos ocupacionais na fonte; e desenvolverá uma cultura nacional preventiva de segurança e saúde que inclua informação, consulta e formação.

- Texto do artigo, página 15: • Cada Membro deve formular, implementar, monitorar, avaliar e rever periodicamente um programa nacional sobre segurança e saúde no trabalho, em consulta com as organizações mais representativas de empregadores e trabalhadores.

O programa nacional deve: • (a) promover o desenvolvimento de uma cultura nacional preventiva de segurança e saúde; • (b) contribuir para a protecção dos trabalhadores, eliminando ou minimizando, na medida do possível, os perigos e riscos relacionados com o trabalho, de acordo com a legislação e prática nacionais, a fim de prevenir lesões, doenças e mortes ocupacionais e promover a segurança e saúde no trabalho; • (c) ser formulado e revisto com base na análise da situação nacional em matéria de segurança e saúde no trabalho, incluindo a análise do sistema nacional de segurança e saúde no trabalho; • (d) incluir objectivos, metas e indicadores de progresso; e • (e) ser apoiado, sempre que possível, por outros programas e planos nacionais complementares que ajudem a alcançar progressivamente um ambiente de trabalho seguro e saudável. • O programa nacional deve ser amplamente divulgado e,

Each Member shall formulate, implement, monitor, evaluate and periodically review a national programme on occupational safety and health in consultation with the most representative organizations of employers and workers. • 2. The national programme shall: • (a) promote the development of a national preventative safety and health culture; • (b) contribute to the protection of workers by eliminating or minimizing, so far as is reasonably practicable, work-related hazards and risks, in accordance with national law and practice, in order to prevent occupational injuries, diseases and deaths and promote safety and health in the workplace; • (c) be formulated and reviewed on the basis of analysis of the national situation regarding occupational safety and health, including analysis of the national system for occupational safety and health; • (d) include objectives, targets and indicators of progress; and • (e) be supported, where possible, by other complementary national programmes and plans which will assist in achieving progressively a safe and healthy working environment.
